Everything has value
A wise old monk holds up a handful of mud to the student and asks which is more useful: a piece of gold or a pile of mud? The student replies, 'The gold of course.' To which the wise old monk says, 'but to a seed?' Children are good at placing value on things that don't cost money. Adults often find it harder to see the immediate value of many things that don't have a price tag. How valuable are your relationships, family, health and work in helping you live a meaningful life?
